Where/how to sell a classic car to get the highest price for it?

I have a 1967 Chevy Chevelle SS I am looking to sell. What would be the best way to sell it to help ensure I get the highest price for it?

For example, should I use eBay Motors, a classified ad in Hemmings Motor News, sell it at a classic car auction (like a Kruse auction http://www.kruseinternational.com/), something else?

If I go the auction route, am I likely to get a sufficiently higher price for the car to cover or exceed the fees?

Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience/suggestions on this.
