Where/how to sell a classic car to get the highest price for it?

I have a 1967 Chevy Chevelle SS I am looking to sell. What would be the best way to sell it to help ensure I get the highest price for it?
I have a 1967 Chevy Chevelle SS I am looking to sell. What would be the best way to sell it to help ensure I get the highest price for it?
For example, should I use eBay Motors, a classified ad in Hemmings Motor News, sell it at a classic car auction (like a Kruse auction http://www.kruseinternational.com/), something else?
If I go the auction route, am I likely to get a sufficiently higher price for the car to cover or exceed the fees?
Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience/suggestions on this.
Thanks.

If I wanted another muscle car I would take it off your hands!!
I would try, ebay. Set a reserve at a price you would like to get for it. And if nobody gets there, you dont have to sell it. Most likley, if its a NICE chevelle, people will jump the gun to buy it from you and the price will go way beyond and above your expectations.
Good luck.

try ebay first but make sure you put “I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME” that way if the price isnt what you want you can cancel the auction and try to take it somewhere else….also pull price on similar cars.example what features does your car have? does it have matching numbers? original interier..etc good luck!
I have a 69 gto judge

My dad has a 1970 Chevelle SS, and EVERY single car show he takes it to, someone wants to buy it. Take it to big, preferably Chevy specific car shows and see what you can get.
Also look into putting a classified in Chevy and Chevelle specific magazines. You’re more likely to find someone willing to pay a premium price going this route. Also try Chevelles.com.
