At the elegant 2009 Greenwich Concours d’Elegance classic car exhibitors evoked the 1930s–when the industry tried to sell big V-16 town cars to people out of work. Does that remind anybody of today’s gas-guzzling SUV strategy?

Ryan. asked: I am looking at a 1972 Chevy Nova for $1,600. As you probably guessed from the price, it needs a lot of work. Well I want to completely restore this Nova from the ground up.
And yes, I know that it will take a lot of time, money, effort, and patience to do something like this. But I am very committed to it.
Well honestly, I have never restored a car before. So I know hardly anything about what’s involved.
So can anyone tell me where online I can find a guide on how to, along with everything else included, restore a classic muscle car?
And also, where can I find a website or catalog of complete restoration factory parts for a 1972 Chevrolet Nova ONLY?
Thank You Very Much!

for more, go to daily.mahalo.com Hybrid cars may be all the rage these days, but our team at Mahalo Daily prefers to lean on the nostalgic side. So we went down to Cars with Class in Santa Monica to check out and test out several restored classic cars, including a Pontiac GTO convertible, and a Ferrari with an interesting past. Start ‘em up!

Where can I find a instrument cluster with digital display that is modeled for a ‘68 Cougar? I saw one for a Mustang that looked like the original display clusters when the engine was off but when you turned it on it was all digital.
Patrick- I have seen one for a ‘69 Mustang so I imagine if I can find one with the proper number of dials then I could fit it to a cougar pretty easily.
